TORMENT OpenACC 2016

TORMENT OpenACC 2016 (Trasgo perfORMance and EvaluatioN Tools for OpenACC) is a project designed to allow a performance comparison of OpenACC code generated by different compilers.

Right now, OpenACC is not very mature and there are many differences among the various compilers available, resulting in a number of compilation and runtime errors when using the existing OpenACC benchmarking tools.

In order to solve this problem, we have selected a variety of benchmarks requiring different GPU programming approaches. These benchmarks have been tuned and tested using a number of compilers available for free (open source or academic license) such as: PGI Compiler, OpenUH Compiler (University of Houston), and accULL (Universidad de La Laguna).
